Patrick Mahomes, the renowned quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, recently faced a concerning health situation with their infant son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III. At eight months old, Bronze experienced a severe allergic reaction after exposure to peanuts, leading to a rushed trip to the emergency room. Brittany described the incident as “the scariest 30 minutes of my life,” noting that Bronze developed hives all over his body and face, and even refused his bottle, prompting fears that his throat was closing.

This unexpected event cast a shadow over the Mahomes family, who had no prior history of allergies. Both Patrick and Brittany were taken aback by the diagnosis, as neither of them have allergies themselves.

Brittany has partnered with pharmaceutical company Kaleo to raise awareness about food allergies and the importance of carrying emergency medications like AUVI-q, an epinephrine auto-injector suitable for infants and toddlers.

Despite this challenging experience, the Mahomes family has shown resilience. Brittany continues to share glimpses into their family life, recently posting a video showcasing a freezer stocked with breast milk, expressing pride in her dedication.

Additionally, Patrick confirmed that their newborn daughter, Golden Raye Mahomes, who was born on January 12, 2025, will attend the upcoming Super Bowl, marking her first football game experience.
