We have an update regarding Montreal Canadiens defenseman Logan Mailloux. As just reported by Anthony Marcotte, if Kent Hughes was planning to bring in Mailloux as reinforcements on defense, it looks like he’ll have to abandon that idea.

Mailloux is injured.

The young defenseman has now missed two consecutive practices, and there is currently a lot of uncertainty surrounding his condition.

Let’s hope it’s nothing too serious.

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Logan Mailloux is injured

Here’s the confirmation:

“An injury is bothering Logan Mailloux as he will miss a second straight practice today.”

This will be a situation to closely monitor for fans.

At 21 years old, Mailloux is a right-shot defenseman standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 213 pounds. He was drafted 31st overall by the Canadiens in 2021.

This season, he has 31 points in 53 games in the AHL, as well as an impressive 5 points in 8 career games in the National Hockey League.

A serious injury to Mailloux would be a significant loss for Pascal Vincent’s squad and would also remove a solid call-up option for Kent Hughes as the NHL regular season winds down.

An injury for Mailloux, but an imminent return for Kaiden Guhle

On a more positive note, the news regarding Kaiden Guhle is much more encouraging.
