We experienced a frightening scene last night, live from Edmonton, during the game between the Oilers and the Calgary Flames.



Early in the first period, the game was interrupted for a very long time due to a serious incident that occurred in the stands.

A fan suffered a cardiac episode while going down the stairs, imagine that.. And according to witnesses, he fell 18 to 20 rows before anyone could intervene and stop his fall.

“There was a long delay at the beginning of the first period between the Flames and Oilers due to a medical emergency involving a fan in the stands.

The Oilers’ medical team had to step in..

See the testimony of someone who was closely involved.

“We didn’t see anything.

The Oilers had just been given a penalty and before the faceoff, the coaches rushed toward a fan who was apparently descending the stairs and suffered an apparent heart attack.

He was taken by ambulance after receiving CPR.”

Another fan was closer to the scene:

“I’m at the game and it wasn’t pretty to see, the fan had a medical episode and fell 18 to 20 rows before someone could stop him..

The Oilers’ training staff or doctor was on the scene immediately.”
