“I have a lot of respect for Patrick for everything he has done in the hockey world.

Now, as a coach, he is at another stage of his professional life.

But he is still one of the greatest competitors.

He is combative and intense.

His team reflects his personality.

For me, it is difficult to know how he coaches.

However, I will always respect the person he is and the competitiveness he had as a player. I know he still has it as a coach.”

He sends a strong message of respect before the battle begins.

 

Knowing Martin St-Louis, I’m surprised he even agreed to answer the question and provided such a detailed response, as he is usually not a fan of these kinds of journalistic “storylines.”

That speaks volumes about the respect he has for Patrick Roy.
