Ruth was joined by friends including Homes Under The Hammer host Lucy Alexander and the photos showed them relaxing on the beach and making the most of the all inclusive drinks.

The ladies were staying at the luxury Sandals resort, where holidays start from £1,000-a-night per person.

Former This Morning host Ruth wrote alongside her upload: “What a birthday!

“Celebrated it in the sunshine with my best pals @lucyalexandertv & @louiseathenapr (missed you @hungrywomancooks).

“Sun, sea, sand, MANY cocktails and laughing until we cried! Perfect. We stayed at the all inclusive @sandals_uk resort in St.Vincent…absolutely beautiful (not an Ad, bought & paid for!)

“Wonderful accommodation, beautiful beaches, fabulous restaurants, great spa and, as much as I love them, no children!! Want to go back!”

Ruth recently broke her silence on her “difficult and painful” split from Eamonn Holmes.

She told woman&home: “I’m quite fine being on my own, but not forever.

“Relationship breakdowns are very difficult, but you deal with it and have to move on.

“You can let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It’s a choice.”

Eamonn moved on quickly and went public with his girlfriend, relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 42, in October. Friends say he may soon propose.

He has been seen using a wheelchair due to mobility issues.

Ruth, who was with Eamonn for 27 years, said: “I’m not delighted my marriage is over, but I’ve accepted it.

“I’m trying to now embrace the fact I’m single and can make choices that are just about me.

“Divorce is very painful. Most don’t do it in the public eye, with everybody having an opinion. But that’s the nature of my job.”
