The Met Gala 2025 is already stirring up controversy, and this time, it’s all about a rumored feud between Rihanna and the Kardashian-Jenner family.

According to reports, Rihanna has allegedly worked out a deal with Vogue editor in-chief Anna Wintour and her partner, A$AP Rocky who now holds a seat on the Met Gala board committee to ensure that the entire Kardashian family is banned from the prestigious event.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan was reportedly outraged when they learned of Rihanna’s alleged decision. Sources claim that they’ve been in talks with Rihanna behind the scenes, trying to understand why she’s so intent on keeping them out. However, Kendall Jenner seems to be taking the news the hardest.

Kendall allegedly lashed out at Rihanna, accusing her of holding onto resentment over her past relationship with A$AP Rocky. Even more shockingly, sources suggest Kendall has gone as far as to claim that Rihanna is jealous of her. A Feud Years in the Making

This tension reportedly dates back to 2012 when Rihanna responded to a tweet from a then-16-year-old Kendall. Kendall had tweeted that she would be “very upset” if Rihanna didn’t perform her song Complicated at an upcoming concert. Rihanna, however, clapped back with, “Well, don’t come.” Many saw this as the beginning of a rocky relationship.

In 2015, things escalated when Rihanna reportedly backed out of a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after Kendall allegedly used her influence to replace British model Jourdan Dunn. Dunn later took to Twitter to express her frustration, fueling speculation that Rihanna was showing solidarity with her friend.

Further drama unfolded in 2017 when Kendall won the “Fashion Icon of the Decade” award at New York Fashion Week—an honor some believed Rihanna was more deserving of. Then, in 2018, Rihanna allegedly threw shade at Kendall at the Met Gala, reportedly commenting, “Good thing I have the curves to pull this off. I would hate to be a stick figure.” Witnesses claim Rihanna laughed in Kendall’s face before walking away.
